Lately there has been a lot of great themes submitted by both new and old theme-creators. I'm very pleased with the work that's been done, and the themes shows a multitude of styles and variations. This is what this site is all about. As we speak there is a total of 347 themes in the database, 196 v7.x compatible themes and 151 v6.x compatible themes.
We all need to consider a few things when we submit our work to the themes database. This so that everybody who uses the themes have a pleasant and painless experience. Therefore I have written a little more detailed Theme-submissions guide that you'll find HERE.
The one that submit themes and the one that review them will also benefit from this. The time it takes for your theme to be accepted - and the time we spend reviewing each theme - will be shorter. So I urge both new and old "themers" to take a look at this document.
If you're experiencing trouble submitting a new theme, please pay attention to the messages you get. Most likely you have missed one or more element mentioned in the Submissions guidelines.
There was quite a few people that was up for joining the Design Team. I'm very grateful for that, it proved what I already knew: this community has a lot of resourceful and dedicated designers. So I basically had to pick and choose.
The choices were made by the criteria set by the MT, and the things I knew each member had done in the PHP-Fusion community.
The group of people that forms the Design Team can be found HERE.
Thanks to everybody who showed interest in joining this team, you are all precious.
The PHP-Fusion Management Team (MT) has decided that we should recreate a Design Team. Therefore we are looking for people that are familiar with PHP-Fusion and its design. We need people that are skilled when it comes to design, graphics, themes, PHP or marketing. If you have skills within some of these areas, and want to participate in forming the future of PHP-Fusion and its theme-engine, please read on.
I made a small alteration to the themes database today. To make all themes show I removed the options to search by valid html and css from the advanced search options (at least for now).
Please note - follow the Theme Submission Guidelines when submitting a new theme.
Sadly I had to reject (for now) a few themes that did not follow these requirements.
1) Remove any Thumbs.db files from you archive
2) The archive MUST contain a licence text file (i.e. AGPL.txt or similar)
3) Make sure the keep ALL files that is not a necessary component of your theme inside the extras folder (like screenshots, PSD files and so on).
Update: March 13 2009 : three new themes since yesterday? Great - and they are all approved
It's been a little while - but I approved nine new themes today. Thank you for these nice submissions - keep up the good work.
Matonor is busy with his studies at the moment, so I'm giving a helping hand. Hopefully I will not break anything while doing so :)
Hi :)
Due to my lack of time in the last few weeks there was a small pile of themes ready for approval again. I approved them all and I'm happy about the submissions activity here. There are themes from many different users, alsl with different styles and ideas. Keep it up, guys and girls! To view the latest submission, I recommend using the Theme Database gallery function once again.
bye
Matonor
Hi :)
I finally got the chance to approve all the fine themes you all submitted. I just finished uploading 769 files and approved 15 themes.
As the Latest Themes Panel is far too small to view them all, I'd recommend you to use the Theme Database gallery function to take a look at them.
thanks
Matonor
I finally received the last votes of an important jury member (I'm sorry for all this delay, but it was hard to get hold of them in the post-v7-release holiday-spirit) and thus I may now announce the results of the theme contest:
Congratulations to the winner and thank you once again to those who participated and those who influenced the final results with their votes (Read more to see how the community poll did change the contest result)
The three winning themes can now be downloaded. The other themes will be added soon.
The judges are currently rating the theme contest contributions and as you know, you can strongly influence the final results with your vote. So go ahead and vote for your favourite Theme in the Poll.
The poll is open until Monday, so make your decision now :)
After some delays, the submission time for the theme contest in compliment to the PHP-Fusion Core 7 Edition has ended.
We received 5 submissions from 4 participants. They all the mastered the task of plainly making the themes working and thus you have the opportunity to preview them here directly.
The Jury consisting of PHP-Fusion Crew members and Andrew Gai of Netriox/Forge Hosting who is sponsoring the hosting prize will judge the themes now. After that, you, the community, will have the possibility to vote on your favorites. Afterwards the winners will be announced.
The prize from PHP-Fusion Themes will be this award which will be shown on the page of this theme in the Database:
